\/><strong>Inspect recreational and commercial watercraft at mandatory check stations:<\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Inspects watercraft at check stations for AIS, conducts routine inspections, identifies, and preserves possible AIS from watercraft, report watercraft if infested with AIS so that it will be decontaminated with hot water pressure washer.<\/li>\n<li>Records collected information on electronic Tablets.<\/li>\n<li>Interacts with the public, conducts standardized interviews to obtain watercraft data, performs routine data entry.<\/li>\n<li>Check station set up and removal, transport trailered electronic reader boards, deploy signage alerting watercraft of check stations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\u00a0<strong>Perform Office Support:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Collect, organize, and compile information from check station operations.<\/li>\n<li>Complete and submit weekly activity reports.<\/li>\n<li>Perform quality control on information collected at inspection stations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Conduct Equipment Maintenance:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Maintain vehicles, inspection station site, and trailered electronic reader boards.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that electronic tablets are in safe and working order.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Approximately 80% of work occurs in the field and 20% in office.<\/li>\n<li>Work outdoors is around water and on land, sometimes independently in remote locations, occasionally during inclement weather and\/or poor air quality.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Work occurs during the day and at night.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Tasks occasionally require the ability to lift 75 lbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>24\/7 schedule, work week will be Sunday to Saturday depending when check stations are scheduled, often on weekends and holidays, 10 hours a day\/40 hours a week, but occasionally will exceed the daily and weekly hours, and will be required to respond on short notice to infested AIS watercraft during non-scheduled hours.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>This position may require travel throughout the state and overnight travel up to four days at times.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools and Equipment:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Half-ton 4&#215;4 trucks, trailers, trailer reader boards, hot-water pressure washer, personal computer, smart phones, and tablets.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Interactions:<\/strong>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Interacts with the public at mandatory inspection stations for trailered watercraft and \/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Graduation from High School or GED.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>AND<\/strong><br \/>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Three (3) months of natural resource related labor experience.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>OR<br \/>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Three (3) months of experience in any of the following: STEM Programs, Future Farms of America (FFA), military experience, vocational programs, experience as a general laborer, job corps, construction, maintenance, landscaping, boating experience, farming, agriculture, forestry, maintenance mechanic experience, or other types of manual labor, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>OR\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\n<ul>\n<li>One (1) year of experience as a Natural Resource Worker
