You will work closely with regional Ecology staff to develop stormwater management recommendations and treatment and monitoring requirements for contaminated sites. We share this work among a team of dedicated permit staff in order to issue permits that are protective of our sensitive water resources.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><br \/>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/><strong>What you will do:<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>You will support the Water Quality Program as the statewide lead for permitting at contaminated sites. This includes:<br \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting the development and refinement of statewide guidance, policy, and standard operating procedures related to permitting at sites with contamination concerns.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Working with subject matter experts across the agency to understand, analyze, and document pollutants and their potential impact on water quality.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical support for regional staff in the development of site-specific permitting requirements for contaminated sites.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Providing review of relevant regulations, policy, and guidance in regard to addressing contamination concerns related to water quality.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Staying informed of changes to State and Federal water quality standards and incorporate changes into existing permitting processes and procedures. \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked.
