Anticipated Appointment Length: 3 months
 March 18, 2024 \u2013 May 31, 2024 <\/em><\/p>\n

Provide critical support in estimating natural production of endangered species act (ESA) listed salmonids in rivers of southeastern Washington.  <\/strong><\/p>\n

Envision yourself in the field, engaging in sampling activities including passive integrated transponder (PIT) tagging, and collecting biological data on salmonid catch. <\/strong><\/p>\n\"Photo<\/strong>\n

Lifting traps with winches to safely remove obstructions and ensures that rotary screw traps are running smoothly.<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

To sample juvenile salmonids by safely using MS-222 (anesthesia) to enumerate (count) the number of fish by species and collect length and weight samples.<\/p>\n

The optimal applicants, <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Will have previous working experience with identifying juvenile salmonids. <\/p>\n
