Do you have a passion to work outdoors to protect fisheries in Washington waters?  Are you experienced in sampling fisheries and working with the public?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Obtain stock composition of the fishery, age structure (scales), length information for legal and sublegal proportions, and hatchery\/natural-origin proportions (clipped\/un-clipped adipose fin status) for salmon fisheries.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sampling work occurs at boat ramps throughout Puget Sound during salmon, marine fish and shellfish fisheries in Marine Areas 5 through 13.<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity<\/em> to interview as many recreational fishery anglers as possible at assigned boat launch facilities.<\/p>\n

With your experience,<\/em> you will observe, count, and accurately identify all salmon and marine fish species.<\/p>\n

We are seeking a candidate<\/em> to provide sport fishing regulatory information to the public.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Here are some things you will be doing in this role,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sample predominantly recreational fisheries for salmon, marine fish and shellfish catch to determine the catch per unit of effort and species composition to obtain valid sport catch estimates for salmon and other marine fish.  Sample salmon for coded-wire tags and collect biological data.   May sample commercial salmon fisheries at fish buyers and plants: <\/strong><\/p>\n
