The City of Auburn\u00a0Finance Department\u00a0<\/strong>is looking for a\u00a0Solid Waste Specialist.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>This position performs technical and administrative work facilitating the City\u2019s waste reduction and recycling programs and providing customer service to the City utilities. \u00a0This includes assisting with program development, presentations, and customer billing issues.


OUR CITY<\/strong>
The City of Auburn is home to over 80,000 residents and encompasses over 29.8 square miles of land, two rivers, and is part of two counties – King and Pierce. The City operates as a Strong-Mayor form of Mayor-Council government, with a City Council of seven at-large members.

OUR FINANCE DEPARTMENT<\/strong>
The Finance Department consists of 25 employees total, with responsibilities ranging from operational accounting, to budgeting, to utility billing. This position reports to the Utility Billing Services Supervisor.

WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION<\/strong>
The City’s office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour for lunch.\n
