This position provides technical assistance, collects data, runs tools and models, helps write and manage\/implement grants, maintains equipment, and conducts outreach to support voluntary conservation on private land.<br \/><br \/>Position Details<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">FTE:<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\">Full Time (40 hours\/week)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">Compensation:<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\">$23.57 &#8211; $30.64\/hour (Depending on Experience)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\">Position Type:<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\">Regular (benefit eligible)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><br \/>This position is funded through June 30, 2024, on grant-based funding and the position will continue if additional grant funding and\/or financial support is obtained.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical assistance, services, advice and resources to <br \/>customers to improve natural resource conditions in a voluntary <br \/>manner.<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, including <br \/>but not limited to landowners, land managers, partners, farmers, <br \/>forest landowners, residential homeowners, community <br \/>organizations and government agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Develop custom resource management plans for cooperators using <br \/>their goals and existing resources to address known natural resource <br \/>concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Inventory, evaluate, monitor and document natural resource <br \/>conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Implementation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize and coordinate the implementation of natural <br \/>resource enhancement projects and associated <br \/>contracts\/agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Collect soil, water, plant and other natural resource samples as <br \/>project requirements dictate.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct necessary analyses of natural resource data.<br \/>Run models and tools to assess and inventory resource concerns and <br \/>analyze data.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain proper use of PCD equipment during implementation by <br \/>completing necessary repairs and maintenance. Equipment <br \/>inventory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grant Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist with grant research, writing, reporting, administration and <br \/>management.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Outreach<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide outreach and communicate program and project activities <br \/>to co-workers, granting agencies, PCD Board of Supervisors, project <br \/>partners and the community.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance public awareness and knowledge of the value of healthy <br \/>natural resources, and the need to maintain diverse, productive, and <br \/>sustainable watersheds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"details-info\" class=\"tab-pane active fr-view\">\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Required Qualifications<br \/>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or closely related field. \u00a0 Qualifying experience may substitute year-for-year for the education requirement.<br \/><br \/>Two (2) years of experience working with riparian restoration, livestock management, or dry-land production agriculture farms\/farmers.<br \/><br \/>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.<br \/><br \/>Valid, unrestricted driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>Certified Conservation Planner.<br \/><br \/>Working knowledge of local, state, and federal conservation programs through Natural Resources Conservation Services currently available to landowners such as EQIP, CRP, CREP, etc.<br \/><br \/>Knowledge of dry land farming best management practices, soil health and residue and tillage management.<br \/><br \/>Knowledge of watershed management, with an emphasis on streams and riparian zones and local plant communities and ecology.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Strong writing skills and grant writing experience.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Experience with Smartsheet work collaboration software.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Professional knowledge of policies and practices of Conservation Districts and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplemental Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application Instructions<br \/>To apply, please click the link\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/app.smartsheet.com\/b\/form\/5877f443e69646a595bba81b916b5489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<br \/><br \/>Please be prepared to submit a letter of interest, a resume and three (3) professional references.
