Garden Instructors are the heart of a growing Life Lab partnership with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) to provide rich, garden-based learning and social-emotional wellbeing for more than 7,000 students across 16 elementary schools. Garden Instructors plan and lead lessons for students TK-6 during both the school day and afterschool in addition to co-planning and hosting opportunities for family involvement in the gardens.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"gtag-job-frame__wrapper\" class=\"job-frame__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"job-frame__content\">\n<div class=\"job-frame__description_content\">\n<p class=\"c5 c12\">Compensation:\u00a0$58,425\u00a0annual salary ($59,450 for Spanish bilingual) 24\u00a0days of accrued paid time-off\u00a0in the first year, up to 12 days of accrued medical time-off and 13 paid holidays. Life Lab pays 100% of health plan premiums for employees and their eligible dependents, up to $1,300 per month, with medical, dental and vision coverage.\u00a0In addition, Life Lab makes a monthly contribution equal to 5% of your salary into a tax-advantaged 403(b) retirement plan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c5 c12\">This is a year-round, 40 hour per week position with responsibilities varying seasonally.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"c5 c12\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c3 lst-kix_12r0wmuvdauf-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c1 li-bullet-0\">Lead\u00a0Next Generation Science in the Garden, cooking and nutrition lessons\u00a0for\u00a012-16\u00a0classes\u00a0per week\u00a0throughout the school year.\u00a0<a class=\"c8\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.pvusd.net\/Staff\/Calendars\/index.html&amp;sa=D&amp;source=editors&amp;ust=1701118485779261&amp;usg=AOvVaw2YCxVo5Ep341GWBoLZMaU_\">See the PVUSD school calendar here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"c1 li-bullet-0\">Plan and lead hour-long enrichment classes for PVUSD Expanded Learning After School program for students TK-6, depending on school site, and lead 4 weeks of programming during Summer School.<\/li>\n<li class=\"c1 li-bullet-0\">Manage and co-maintain the physical garden classroom spaces at your own site with Garden Sites Leader and Life Lab Gardeners.<\/li>\n<li class=\"c1 li-bullet-0\">Build strong relationships within your school communities through community outreach at school and family events, participating in Back to School nights and Open House, and hosting community workdays in the garden classrooms.<\/li>\n<li class=\"c1 li-bullet-0\">Collaborate with Life Lab\u2019s Training &amp;
