The State Land Survey Unit also has two PLS positions supporting DNR Aquatic Land management needs, two PLS positions in remote offices that supervise field crews, and two LSITs drafting\u00a0maps\u00a0and updating the GIS\u00a0Cadastre\u00a0layers. We rely on our Professionals to provide accurate surveys and legal descriptions of land that are necessary to DNR&#8217;s mission to protect Washington\u2019s lands when transacting resource lands, conservation lands, granting or acquiring rights in lands for access, leasing, product sales, or resource protection.\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review legal descriptions for land transactions (acquisitions and disposals), leases, rights of ways, and other types of use authorizations.
