Since 2003, the Evergreen Chapter has awarded $153,000 in scholarships to 85 students.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"scholarship-categories\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Categories<\/h3>\n<p><strong>General Scholarship \u2013 up to $1,500<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For students in any program of study<\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Scholarship \u2013 up to $2,500<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For students pursuing a degree in environmental science, environmental studies, engineering, or another major applicable to the field of solid waste or resource management<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"eligibility-for-washington-evergreen-chapter-scholarships\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility for Washington Evergreen Chapter Scholarships<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be accepted or enrolled at a college, university, or graduate school for fall 2024.<\/li>\n<li>Must be the child or grandchild of a SWANA member in good standing or a student member prior to application. Becoming a student member is free\u2014visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swana.org\/community\/membership\"><strong>SWANA\u2019s membership page<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to join.<\/li>\n<li>Priority will be given to students who have not won multiple Evergreen chapter scholarships.<\/li>\n<li>Students who have been awarded Evergreen chapter scholarships totaling $6,000 or more are not eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"application-submission\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Submission<\/h3>\n<p>Submit your application through our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSedoQnRPSg77U5hh0FglUMvlgHwkNujNVGVl_2syjEvyPjbig\/viewform?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>online form<\/strong><\/a>.
