The DOH Environmental Public Health (EPH) division works toward this mission by preventing and reducing exposure to health hazards in the environment and supporting healthy places where all people live, work, and play.<br \/><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>The\u00a0<strong>Equity and Environmental Justice Managers<\/strong>\u00a0will supervise staff and oversee the Department of Health&#8217;s Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act implementation. Reporting to the HEAL Implementation Manager, these positions will play a pivotal role in integrating equity and environmental justice into agency policies and processes. Their responsibilities include Environmental Justice Assessments, ensuring program compliance with the budgeting and funding requirements of HEAL, and supporting the reporting requirements of the law. These roles will create programs, processes, and resources to help agency staff meet these obligations and integrate equity and environmental justice into rules and policies. They will serve as an expert and consultant on HEAL and environmental justice for program staff across the agency. They will also work closely with the other HEAL agencies and the Environmental Justice Council to continuously update and refine the processes and implementation planning for HEAL obligations.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>These\u00a0<strong>two (2) full-time permanent<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Management Analyst 5 (MA5)<\/strong>\u00a0classified positions may be located anywhere within the State of Washington. Telework (mobile work) is currently expected.
