As a member of our Natural Resources practice, you will work with other water resources engineers and designers, as well as scientists, landscape architects, and construction experts as a part of multidisciplinary teams\u00a0involved in design bid build, design build, and progressive design build projects\u00a0to restore the ecosystem function of fish-bearing streams in the Puget Sound and the greater Pacific Northwest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You must be collaborative, thorough, and well organized. Additionally, you must have good time management and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>You have the following qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in civil engineering<\/li>\n<li>5-10 years\u2019 experience in open channel design<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington or able to obtain within six months<\/li>\n<li>SRH-2D modeling or HEC-RAS 2D modeling experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley InRoads, OpenRoads, and ArcGIS<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic, sense of humor, and desire for team success<\/li>\n<li>Ability\u00a0to prioritize multiple tasks, and ability to lead others as the task lead<\/li>\n<li>The ability to meet and work with diverse clients and bring in new work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To thrive in this position, you may also have these qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>WSDOT Fish Passage and Stream Restoration Design Certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this position,\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0work with a highly collaborative team to:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead fieldwork to assess stream conditions, stream bed material composition, embankment stability, and lateral migration potential<\/li>\n<li>Determine riverine and tidal hydrology<\/li>\n<li>Perform hydraulic analyses and design<\/li>\n<li>Design large woody material (LWM) structures<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates LWM design stability with and without anchor systems<\/li>\n<li>Perform floodplain, floodway, zero rise, scour analysis, and other hydraulic analyses<\/li>\n<li>Support design-bid-build, design-build, and progressive design-build pursuits<\/li>\n<li>Mentor young engineers and technical staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>This position\u00a0can\u00a0be\u00a0based out of\u00a0our Bellevue or Bellingham offices. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel:\u00a0<\/strong>Up to 20% of the time<\/p>\n<p><strong>About\u00a0OCI\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Osborn Consulting, Inc.
