(Bellevue, WA)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Job Type Permanent<br \/>Salary Details 65,000-95,000<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking for a\u00a0Stream Restoration &amp; Wetland Specialist\u00a0(or Restoration Design Professional, Urban Ecological Designer) who is inspired by riparian ecology and passionate about a science-driven approach to designing beautiful and resilient spaces. As a member of our diverse, multidisciplinary team, you\u2019ll work closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and civil designers to develop planting plans and restore the ecosystem function of fish-bearing streams across the Puget Sound and the greater Pacific Northwest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of our Natural Resources practice, you must be collaborative, thorough, and well organized, with excellent verbal and written communication. Multitasking skills are also essential for success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To thrive in this position, you have the following required qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in landscape architecture,\u00a0hydrology, soil science, botany, ecology, resource management, or related field<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret ecological restoration construction plans<\/li>\n<li>In-depth training in at least one of the following areas: plant ecology, soils, or hydrology<\/li>\n<li>2 to 5+ years\u2019 consulting experience in\u00a0preparing planting plans, delineating wetlands, preparing wetland reports, and developing and implementing mitigation plans<\/li>\n<li>Certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or\u00a0Society for Ecological Restoration&#8217;s Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It would be great, but not required, to have these\u00a0additional\u00a0qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful built projects and construction administration expertise<\/li>\n<li>Solid computer software skills in\u00a0SketchUp,\u00a0MicroStation,\u00a0Adobe Creative Suite, Land F\/X, Revit,\u00a0, and other industry software<\/li>\n<li>Landscape architect licensure and continuing education in related fields<\/li>\n<li>Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this role, we\u2019ll count on you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and interpret stream and wetland restoration plans, appropriate planting plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and as-built plans with support of senior staff<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with local design and construction teams, collaborate with other team members to collect and analyze field data to establish existing conditions, identify potential design constraints, determine design parameters, and post construction monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in providing oversight of restoration and planting areas during construction<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparing technical documentation associated with the restoration design process, including writing proposals, design summaries, mitigation plans, cost\/quantity estimates, bid documents, construction specifications, construction oversight reports, and post-construction monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Conduct fieldwork, including site assessments and data gathering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position can be based out of our Seattle, WA or Bellevue, WA office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About\u00a0OCI\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Osborn Consulting, Inc.
