Monthly bonus to supplement healthcare costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nisqually Reach Nature Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the Nisqually estuary through education, interpretation, and community science. The Nisqually Reach Nature Center is located on Luhr Beach \u2013 a destination for thousands of visitors a year who have access to one of the finest estuaries in Puget Sound. For over forty years we have offered a variety of environmental education and community science programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our expanding organization seeks to hire a temporary full-time Operations Director to join the Nisqually Reach Nature Center team. The position is for a 6-month term, with the possibility to extend further. The Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including supervising staff and resident caretakers. This position will also provide critical analysis and develop organizational processes to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Supervise and manage the Education Director, Science Director, and three Resident Caretaker(s).<br \/>\u2022 Manage and direct all day-to-day operations.<br \/>\u2022 Formulate strategic and operational objectives to meet the mission and vision of the organization.<br \/>\u2022 Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures.<br \/>\u2022 Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance thereof.<br \/>\u2022 Oversee marketing and communication efforts.<br \/>\u2022 Oversee the execution of the Strategic Plan and report progress to the Board of Directors.<br \/>\u2022 Prepare necessary reports or materials for Board meetings, grants, and projects.<br \/>\u2022 Serve as a liaison between Executive Director, staff, caretakers, and Board of Directors.<br \/>\u2022 Support the organization\u2019s financial management and fundraising efforts.<br \/>\u2022 Prepare the annual budget in coordination with Executive Director, staff, caretakers, and Board of Directors.<br \/>\u2022 Maintain positive relationships with partners and volunteers.<br \/>\u2022 Serve as a back-up spokesperson to the organization\u2019s constituents, the media, and the general public.<br \/>\u2022 Perform administrative tasks including responding to inquiries, emails, and phone calls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nisqually Reach Nature Center employees are expected to be flexible and to take on additional duties as assigned, according to the organization\u2019s needs and the staff member\u2019s skills and abilities.
