Provides confidential and specialized support to the County Administrator. Supports accounts payable, equipment inventory, LEOFF 1, and a variety of programs. \u00a0Serves as the first point of contact for the Commissioners\u2019 and County Administrator\u2019s office for customers with business for the county. Coordinates and conducts special projects as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>(Any one position may not include all the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks that may be found in positions of this class.)<\/em><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Performs a variety of clerical and office tasks, such as typing correspondence, various documents, and spreadsheets. Maintains conference room schedules, distributes mail, and orders supplies. Attend meetings as directed. May take and\/or transcribe meeting minutes or other information for meetings, prepare agendas and support materials, prepare information for review. Identify priorities and\/or time sensitive matters and maintain security and confidentiality.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Provides technical accounting support for budget and accounting programs under the Central Services purview, to include accounts payable data entry, assembly of vouchers and record management in Excel.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Back up the Receptionist\/Secretary\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schedules meetings and appointments, supports the County Administrator\u2019s calendar.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Exercises skill and judgment in dealing with stakeholders to solve complaints, answer a wide variety of questions and provide information.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Supports the Motor Pool Program, Current Use Taxation Program, Employee Recognition Program, and the Veterans Assistance Program. This includes screening applications for assistance, issues checks and managing the checking account and performs other duties as assigned.<br \/><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/><strong>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/strong><br \/>Provide excellent customer service.<br \/>Performs other duties as assigned.<br \/>Regular, reliable, punctual attendance.<br \/>Maintain confidentiality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Knowledge of:<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Office practices and procedures.<br \/>Standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, FAX machine, scanner.<br \/>Business English, composition, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format.<br \/>Microsoft Office\u00a0<br \/>Accounting practices.<br \/>County policies and procedures.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<br \/><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/><strong><em>Ability to:<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Operate a multi-line phone system.<br \/>Establish and maintain a professional relationship with the public, the Board, other Elected Officials and County employees.<br \/>Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.<br \/>Operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, FAX machine and scanner.<br \/>Work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.<br \/>Establish and maintain filing and record keeping systems.<br \/>Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information.<br \/>Type at least 55wpm<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>\u00a0<em>Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.
