{"id":50229,"date":"2023-07-22T08:43:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-22T15:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=50229"},"modified":"2023-07-19T10:43:37","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T17:43:37","slug":"job-natural-resource-tech-skagit-river-system-cooperative-burlington-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/job-natural-resource-tech-skagit-river-system-cooperative-burlington-wa\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: Natural Resource Tech, Skagit River System Cooperative (Burlington, WA)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/><strong>Salary Details:<\/strong> 18.50-19.50<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION OPENING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Full Time\/Seasonal\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORTING AUTHORITY<\/strong>: Field Operations Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL<\/strong>: Provide field work for SRSC programs to support implementation and maintenance of native plant revegetation and other habitat restoration projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in implementing native plant revegetation and other habitat restoration projects.<\/li>\n<li>Perform assigned tasks that involves physical labor such as, but not limited to, site clearance, preparation, planting, carpentry, hauling, lifting, boat operation, use of gas-powered tools and hiking.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the collection of biological, chemical and physical habitat samples to support the development and implementation of habitat restoration projects.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the maintenance of equipment including, but not limited to nets, boats, trailers, vehicles, and other specific field equipment used in the performance of assigned tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Record, compile and maintain field records and notes including logbooks, data sheets and electronic data collection equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of reports.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Field Operations Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION<br \/><\/strong><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0High School Diploma or GED\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A.A. or B.S. Degree in a natural resource field is highly preferred.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Any mechanical certifications or courses completed is strongly preferred.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Experience with native plant revegetation techniques, boat handling and operation of gas-powered equipment is preferred. Small engine repair and maintenance and operation of tractors and implements is desirable.
