The Opportunity<\/strong>
WSDOT is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 3 to support the Olympic Region Multimodal Planning unit.\u00a0Reporting to the Fish Passage Senior Planner \u2013 Team Lead,\u00a0the incumbent in this position contributes to project delivery efforts including supporting pre-design on fish passage and other projects;\u00a0participates on corridor and environmental planning studies;\u00a0coordinates with regional planning organizations, local jurisdictions, and tribal nations; and maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers.

However, the hiring manager reserves the right to fill the position at a lower level \u2013\u00a0Transportation Planning Specialist 2<\/a>\u00a0(TPS2) \u2013 depending on qualifications, providing an opportunity for an individual to gain the required experience on the job as part of a formal \u201cin-training\u201d plan.
