All work is to be performed outdoors at semi-remote field locations around the Upper Columbia River Basin including sites in the Entiat, Wenatchee and Methow River subbasins. Technicians must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including substantial time wearing drysuits or waders.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_2 wixui-rich-text__text\"><strong><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_15 wixui-rich-text__text\">Job Duties:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Collect accurate scientific measurements following established protocols<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Assist in developing new protocols and methods for fish and habitat data measurements<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Capture juvenile salmonids using a combination of methods including seine nets, traps, hand nets and backpack electrofishers<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Tag\/mark juvenile salmonids using a variety of techniques including implanted PIT tags, visible implant elastomers, fin clips, batch marks and conventional external tags<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Measure and record biometric data on juvenile salmonids and bycatch species<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Reliably identify fry and parr stage Pacific salmonid species<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Conduct snorkel surveys in swift river habitats to identify and count fish and record associated habitat metrics<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Safely travel by road and hiking\/wading to semi-remote sampling sites<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font_2 wixui-rich-text__text\"><strong><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_15 wixui-rich-text__text\">Minim<\/span><\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_15 wixui-rich-text__text\">um Required Qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Education requirements vary by position and level, all applicants must have a passion for science and conservation, with proven experience working and playing in the outdoors<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">BSc or equivalent education and experience is required for Tech III (crew lead) positions<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Possess or able to obtain a valid WA State Driver\u2019s License and clean driving record<\/span><span style=\"font-size: inherit;color: initial\">\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text\"><strong><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_15 wixui-rich-text__text\">Desired Skills &amp;
