The work involves data input for the maintenance of records, examination, and verification of various fiscal documents. This position is required to assist in the preparation and interpretation of financial reports produced by automated and manual accounting systems. This position assists the Chief Superior Court Administrator in creating and monitoring the annual budget for the Superior Court, Juvenile Probation, Juvenile Detention, and Therapeutic Courts.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>EXAMPLES OF DUTIES<\/strong><\/span> (any one position may not include all for the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions in the class)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborates with the Chief Superior Court Administrator on financial and budgeting processes for Superior Court operations.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing vouchers for payment of invoices and allocating expenses to the proper accounts in accordance with the Activity Based Cost System and the State of Washington Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting numbering system (BARS).<\/li>\n<li>Maintains time sheets, supplies and materials.<\/li>\n<li>Coding time sheets with appropriate BARS and Activity Based Cost System numbering.<\/li>\n<li>Compile information and process Inter- Departmental billing for vehicle and material usage, phones, computer rental and copier charges.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate all aspects of competitive grant writing and award process.<\/li>\n<li>Draft contracts with grantees or sub-awardees, monitor contracts for compliance and ensure disbursement of grant funds.<\/li>\n<li>Operate a telephone station, computer, postage meter, fax machine and other office machines, as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Assist employees and the public in researching record information and provide copies as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Regular, reliable and punctual attendance. Shows initiative in performing job functions. Performs related work as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<br \/><\/strong><\/span>Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, or two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably in public sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS<br \/><\/strong><\/span>Applicants are required to submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/masoncountywa.gov\/forms\/human-resources\/mc_job_application_web.pdf\">Mason County Application<\/a> to the Human Resources Department.
