Become a Nature on Wheels Instructor this spring and travel across New England providing outdoor learning experiences to elementary and middle school students.<\/em><\/p>\n

Salary: <\/strong>$125\/Day<\/p>\n

What we do<\/strong><\/span>
During the school week, we drive out to schools or local parks to provide single or multi-day programs for elementary and middle school students. Instructors lead groups of 12-14 students through activities ranging in topics from nature exploration to outdoor living skills to human ecological impact. Some of our favorite activities include field journaling, endangered egg babies, and shelter building! Instructors travel to different schools each day throughout New England and eastern New York. We are committed to providing the highest quality educational experience to our schools and are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated educators to join our team!<\/p>\n

Who we are<\/strong><\/span>
Nature\u2019s Classroom New England is the largest outdoor education program in the northeast. We specialize in hands-on education with an emphasis on nature, outdoor living skills, science, and social-emotional learning. We provide meaningful programming for thousands of elementary and middle school students across New England and eastern New York each year! Nature\u2019s Classroom instructors facilitate a variety of exciting activities for students throughout the fall and spring.<\/p>\n

Dates of employment<\/strong><\/span>
March 13 to June 9, 2023. Instructors will start the season with two weeks of paid training.<\/p>\n

Salary & benefits<\/strong><\/span>
\u25cf Salary is $125 per day
\u25cf Mileage reimbursement with carpooling perks for work-related travel
\u25cf Shared accommodation is provided. (Service animals only. Sorry, no ESAs.)
\u25cf Hotels, airbnbs and rooms at one of our residential sites will be arranged for you when working with a school that is far from your home base.<\/p>\n

Desired experience & qualifications<\/strong><\/span>
\u25cf Experience working with elementary and middle school students.
\u25cf Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s Degree preferred but not required.
\u25cf Ability to walk\/hike 3-5 miles per day.
\u25cf Comfortable speaking in front of a group.
\u25cf Ability to travel to schools throughout New England and eastern New York.
\u25cf Has a reliable vehicle.
\u25cf A passion for outdoor education!<\/p>\n
