Frequent trips to Olympia will be necessary, as well as occasional trips to other locations in Western Washington. <br \/><strong>Hours: <\/strong>30-40 hours per week. Starting February 1st 2023, ending late May 2023. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Protect WA State Legacy Forests Campaign\u00a0<br \/><\/strong><\/span>Washington State\u2019s older state-owned forests store carbon at remarkable rates. These older forests are also being clear-cut at alarming rates under current state policy\u2014up to 5,000 more acres are slated to be cut in the next year. This aggressive rate of logging worsens climate change, landslides and flooding. To meet our 2050 climate goals, we must create new tools and approaches including the state\u2019s new Natural Climate Solutions Account to 1) immediately protect these carbon dense forests and 2) purchase replacement lands for timber production to maintain rural jobs and to protect our forests from conversion and development.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While the Campaign Organizer will be working closely with consultants and coalition members on the campaign, they will be working for CRF to support our objective of protecting legacy forests.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>About The Position<br \/><\/strong><\/span>Our Campaign Organizer will coordinate and oversee many aspects of the campaign, working with the campaign committee, volunteers around WA State, the CRF team and campaign consultants.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organize citizens to take action\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Write emails and help manage the website\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Create and manage the campaign schedule and potential community outreach<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and support campaign events\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Draft and schedule campaign emails\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with coalition partners to mobilize their networks\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Run an aggressive outreach plan including phone banking to meet our campaign goals<\/li>\n<li>Recruit, train, and manage volunteers\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Generate progress reports of number of people contacted\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with supporters, allies, and consultants<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-motivated and strategic, with experience handling multiple priorities and maintaining attention to detail in a high-stakes, deadline-driven environment\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>High standards for honesty, integrity, and follow-through\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing and editing skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Excellent and clear oral communications skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Proficient at working in a collaborative team environment\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Basic proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A valid drivers\u2019 license and reliable vehicle\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Desired, but not required, qualifications include<\/em>:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with Votebuilder\/VAN\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Design platforms such as Canva and PowerPoint\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Website maintenance skills\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Washington State legislative process\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Passion for forest conservation and ecology\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Timeline: <\/strong>Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. We have the intention of hiring by February 1st 2023. This position will run through late May 2023.
