Our unique conference is a wonderful forum for collaboration from all sides of the world of wetlands.<\/p>\n<p>We will have an amazing and diverse lineup of plenary speakers, symposia, and oral and poster presentations that will highlight coordination between different wetland sectors and disciplines while providing opportunities to collaborate on related topics like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indigenous or tribal interests for restoring native ecosystems to build resilience<\/li>\n<li>Restoring or managing ecosystems to meet subsistence or cultural objectives<\/li>\n<li>Tackling climate change<\/li>\n<li>Water resource management<\/li>\n<li>Soil carbon sequestration<\/li>\n<li>Current approaches used for wetland education and outreach<\/li>\n<li>and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A variety of networking events will be hosted throughout the week and the conference itself is a block from the beautiful Spokane River and its Riverfront Park (one of the country\u2019s best urban parks).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>We hope to see you in Spokane! <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Nate Hough-Snee and Yvonne Vallette,&nbsp;<em>2023 Program Committee Chairs<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Call for Abstracts<\/strong><\/span><br><strong>Wetland Adaptation: From Floodplains to Ridgelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are invited to submit abstracts for technical sessions, panel discussions, and\/or posters to be presented at the Society of Wetland Scientists 2023 Annual Meeting. We welcome abstracts from all related disciplines and areas of expertise from all practitioners (academics, consultants, and government).
