Ideal start is early November 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be an admitted or current Evergreen student who plans to be enrolled for at least 2 credits in fall, winter and spring 2022-2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent communication skills \u2013 phone, email and in-person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable talking with all types of people \u2013 both incoming and current students, alumni, staff, and faculty by phone, by email, through zoom, or in person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Organized and detail-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and able to work with minimal direction, yet able to ask questions to clarify the task at hand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>General office skills \u2013 including Microsoft Office, printers, and copy machines<\/li>\n<li>Problem solver; takes initiative, fast learner<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable learning new software \u2013 can self-teach<\/li>\n<li>Confidentiality and integrity a must<\/li>\n<li>Event or project planning or assistance experience is beneficial to the duties of this position, but not required<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MES Thesis support\n<ul>\n<li>Printed thesis: intake, binding, recording, deliver to library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintain paper and electronic files of MES students and graduates<\/li>\n<li>Aid Assistant Director with recruiting prospective students\n<ul>\n<li>Enter inquiries into database<\/li>\n<li>Send promotional materials to inquiries and recruitment contacts<\/li>\n<li>Answer prospective student questions<\/li>\n<li>Attend outreach events as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintain MES Weekly jobs\/internship blog<\/li>\n<li>Update MES website in partnership with Assistant Director<\/li>\n<li>Check general MES email inbox<\/li>\n<li>Assist MES Director with projects throughout the year<\/li>\n<li>Faculty support \u2013 room reservations, scheduling, syllabi, bios<\/li>\n<li>Primary contact for 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Floor Fishbowl room reservations (with MPA Program Assistant)<\/li>\n<li>Event support (Graduation, Orientation, Admitted Student Day, and smaller events throughout year)<\/li>\n<li>Assist Assistant Director in virtual speaker and workshop event coordination<\/li>\n<li>General office support (copies, deliveries, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Attend outreach and recruitment events with Assistant Director and Program Assistant: Graduate Fairs, Conferences, etc. when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for maintaining MES Blog using Drupal, which requires writing monthly posts, interviewing people, asking students for contributions<\/li>\n<li>Work with MES Assistant Director to update Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts with relevant MES content, and content from community partners<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with prospective students through phone, zoom, and email<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<li>*This position has the flexibility to work fully remote, in-person, or hybrid.
