We are responsible for the county road and levee systems, sewer systems, airports, ferries, building permits, environmental review, sustainability, community planning, and code enforcement &#8211; just to name a few!<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>How to be Successful in the Role:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Pierce County is looking for candidates with analysis management abilities in budgeting, planning, and data; as well as familiarity with solid waste and sustainability. Tracking performance, processes, and total database management as well as supporting HR and various programs for the team will be daily functions. Effective communication of analysis to the team as well as being able to function well as an individual will be key. You will be a key player in the implementation of the Sustainability 2030 and the new Solid &amp; Hazardous Waste Management Plans.<br \/><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/><strong>Your Future in this Role:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Environmental education, sustainability, and solid waste are the core focus of the group, and this primarily remote position will be in support of that through Data analysis, tracking performance measures, budgeting, and hiring support. \u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>Core Daily Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct complex management studies, audits and analyses of current and proposed operations and programs.<\/li>\n<li>Research and analyze department\/division operations and activities including special projects and studies and associated budgets. Identify proposed plan and carry out analytic projects.<\/li>\n<li>Produce complex spreadsheets, models, forecasts and cost calculations and develop and prepare written reports regarding research, findings, and recommendations.
