The department is interested developing and delivering new curriculum in the broad area of Energy and Sustainability. We seek individuals with exceptional promise for, or a proven record of, excellence in teaching.<br \/><br \/>We seek a dedicated, accomplished, and highly motivated, full-time instructor to develop and teach undergraduate and Master&#8217;s-level courses related to engineering for energy applications, energy science and technology, energy markets, energy policy, environmental impacts of energy, and other areas.<br \/><br \/>Successful applicants embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense. Members of our teaching faculty participate in departmental and school-level efforts to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and to work closely with students to identify and address diversity challenges. As such, we request a discussion of candidates&#8217; experiences in establishing and maintaining supportive, inclusive environments for diverse student communities, and what plans they have for being involved in diversity efforts at Penn.<br \/><br \/>The position of Lecturer will be on a 12-month basis with successive one-year reappointments possible based on an annual review and the department&#8217;s needs. After four consecutive appointments, lecturers can be considered for a Senior Lecturer position. Exceptionally qualified candidates might also be considered for direct appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer.
