A wide variety of information is collected in the inventory<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">,<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">including<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">:<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">tree measurem<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ents; forest pathogens;<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">understory veget<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ation com<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">position and structure;<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">st<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">treatments and disturbances;<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">d<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">own woody material measurements;<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and land ownership.<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The areas<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">sampled for the Forest Inventory by the PNW Research Station cover a diversity of ecological<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">communities<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page3R_mcid27\" class=\"markedContent\"><\/span><span id=\"page3R_mcid28\" class=\"markedContent\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Crews will use maps, aeri<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">al photos, and GPS units to navigate to permanent plot locations.
