This includes preparation and use of oceanographic sampling gear, instrument calibration (Conductivity, Temperature, and depth [CTD] and other electronic sensors), and collection and processing of water samples. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Use professional judgment and experience, in consultation with information on weather and sea conditions, to make daily choices for field operations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Lead chlorophyll data quality review. This includes tracking and reporting laboratory performance. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Review CTD data for monthly data review. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Write standard operating procedures. Review and edit quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) and scientific reports.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Use software programs and databases for data management and report preparation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\u00a0Laboratory tasks include:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Assisting in the maintenance of all the laboratory sensors, conducting calibrations, and tracking instrument performance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Keeping the lab in good working order, assigning the monthly lab cleaning schedule, and managing lab supply inventory and reagent preparation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Conducting in lab bench top fluorometer performance checks and assisting with annual fluorometer calibration.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Processing and analyzing chlorophyll and dissolved oxygen samples.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience.
