$4,013.00 &#8211; $5,268.00 Monthly<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Our Region 3 ORV Educator will,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Routinely patrol roads and trails using ATV\/ ORV or motorized vehicle, contacting wildlife area motorized users and providing education.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze areas of concern, then develop outreach and education plan that emphasizes resource protection and user safety to address issues.<\/li>\n<li>Document rule violations and noncompliance, and provide information to enforcement for follow up as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Document accomplishments, provide reports to wildlife area staff and regional enforcement staff on issues and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Collect and report on visitor use data.<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with regional staff, develop and submit grant applications.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with all aspects of awarded grants including project development, presentation, tracking compliance and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Attend user group and club meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings and trainings as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Assist wildlife area staff with recreation and habitat restoration projects as needed and available.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in agency committees related to recreation management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>This position is primarily a field position, working approximately 85% in the field and 15% in the office.<\/li>\n<li>Traverse and drive on uneven terrain under all weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle operation for long periods of time.<\/li>\n<li>Sustain outdoor work in adverse weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Operating a four-wheel drive vehicle on highway and forest roads, operating an ATV\/ORV on roads and trails in moderate to difficult terrain.<\/li>\n<li>Some hiking is expected.<\/li>\n<li>Office work will be in a normal office setting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>40 hours per week, 24\/7 schedule.<\/li>\n<li>The position must work a flexible work schedule that will include some evening and primarily weekend work and seasonal schedule adjustments which reflect recreation use patterns.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Position requires daily travel from office to field in the region.<\/li>\n<li>Travel and overnight stays are minimal but will be required for training.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools and Equipment:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Position uses an agency vehicle, ATV\/ORV.<\/li>\n<li>Agency radio and cellphone for communication in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Office duties require standard office furniture and equipment (i.e., desk, file cabinets, computer, telephone, copy machine).<\/li>\n<li>Field duties include use of standard size vehicles, trailers, ATV\/ORV, GPS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Interactions:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Position requires contact with the public, volunteers, external customers, stakeholders daily, and contact with, tribes, various state and local governments, and environmental groups weekly to monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Position may contact angry or distraught customers and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closely related qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree involving major study in forestry, agriculture, aquaculture, geology, recreation, or related natural science.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>And<\/strong><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>One (1) year of professional experience in a related natural resources specialty area.<br \/>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>License:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ATV and ORV Certifications (Training provided. Obtain within 6 months of hire date).<\/li>\n<li>First Aid\/CPR (Training Provided.
