Salary<\/strong>– $1<\/span>6,502<\/span> living allowance<\/span> paid over the<\/span> 11<\/span>–<\/span>month<\/span> term of service<\/span> (approx. $1,<\/span>500<\/span> monthly<\/span>, before taxes<\/span>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

POSITION SUMMARY<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
In<\/span> p<\/span>artnership with the Confluence Environmental Center, AmeriCorps Program and PCC, the<\/span> Member\u2019s<\/span> goal is to establish <\/span>and support institutional systems to get healthy food, including fresh produce, to<\/span> students<\/span> with low<\/span>–<\/span>income<\/span> and their <\/span>families. Additionally, they will serve to bring awareness of food insecurity and develop leadership to ad<\/span>dress these <\/span>systemic conditions. The Member\u2019s time with PCC<\/span> will be split into 3 complimentary parts, related to food insecurity for PCC <\/span>students.<\/span><\/span>
1. The Member will address underlying components of systemic food insecurit<\/span>y at PCC<\/span> and create meaningful<\/span>
change<\/span> by<\/span> helping instructors<\/span> integrate food security topics into curriculum, developing educational programs, and<\/span>
supporting student initiatives<\/span> (25%)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>
2. Support<\/span> students in need through collaboration with PCC resources, and external resources like Oregon Food<\/span>
Bank<\/span> and<\/span> Partners for Hunger Free Oregon (30%).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span> D<\/span>evelop and lead educational activities that utilize Portland Community College\u2019s well established Learning<\/span>
