{"id":46626,"date":"2022-07-20T22:09:05","date_gmt":"2022-07-21T05:09:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=46626"},"modified":"2022-07-20T22:09:05","modified_gmt":"2022-07-21T05:09:05","slug":"job-research-fish-biologist-department-of-the-interior-raleigh-nc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/job-research-fish-biologist-department-of-the-interior-raleigh-nc\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: Research Fish Biologist, Department of the Interior (Raleigh, NC)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!--more--><b><strong>For more information, please follow this link:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/job\/664375500\">https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/job\/664375500<\/a> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong>&#8211; $98,223 &#8211; $176,300 per year<\/p>\n<p><strong>As a Research Fish Biologist (Unit Leader) within the North Carolina Cooperative Research Unit, some of your specific duties will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsibilities of the Unit Leader will require substantive administrative and managerial oversight to get the Unit functioning and up to speed.<\/li>\n<li>Plans, conducts, and directs research related to fish, wildlife, or ecological resources, with application to contemporary science, policy and management needs.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts research that is cooperator driven and provides scientific basis for management and policy decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Serves as subject matter expert in fish and wildlife ecology, providing leadership and guidance to government and private agencies and university representatives through participation in meetings, conferences and work groups.<\/li>\n<li>Disseminate research results via final reports, peer-reviewed print scientific journals, online scientific journals, books, book chapters or other outlets.
