Test and update based on performance and system requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain a custom data management backend system for mobile data consumption<\/li>\n<li>Develop new data reports including spatial layer updates, R Markdown code, and HTML\/JavaScript code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable proficiency in the following computer languages: R, Python, JavaScript, SQL.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable proficiency in designing and implementing database schema.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable proficiency with geospatial data.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with a wide range of data formats (e.g., relational databases, Arc Info files, dbf, Access databases).<\/li>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s degree and relevant experience in Information Technology, Forestry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, GIS, Geography, or related field with an emphasis on computation and quantitative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Professional working knowledge of environmental sampling and data gathering, e.g. forest mensuration.<\/li>\n<li>DNR Core Competencies:\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>Personal Accountability\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Value Others\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Compassionate Communication\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Inspire Others\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Excellence\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conditions of Employment:<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license and have two years of driving experience. This position requires driving as an essential function. Finalists and\/or interview candidates will be asked to provide a driving record from all states in which they have held a license during the past three years.<\/li>\n<li>Work is conducted in an office setting and field setting. Field hazards include uneven terrain, obstacles including large down wood, steep slopes, deep brush, hot and cold temperatures<\/li>\n<li>The position requires travel about 5-10 % of the time for field visits and to attend meetings.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Employees of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. This position is based in an office\/fieldwork setting and requires in-person attendance\/interactions with no option for full-time telework.
