Outdoors and in all inclement weather.<\/li>\n<li>Walk, bend, stoop, and carry or move up to 40 pounds (backpack of equipment, moving channel crossings, herbicides boxes, and water tanks) over difficult terrain, including slippery rocks, steep banks, and mud.<\/li>\n<li>Load and transport gear.<\/li>\n<li>Work with pesticides.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday \u2013 Friday, 40 hours\/week.<\/li>\n<li>Start times are set by the best available tides and may require early morning starts.<\/li>\n<li>Some mandatory overtime may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasional weekend and overnight travel. Travel may be up to 5 days in a row.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools and Equipment:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Small mechanical equipment (brush cutters), chemical application equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Trucks, swamp buggies, airboats, and all-terrain vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Interactions:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Interaction with other agencies and the public will occur regularly to explain weed control work to the public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>College level work in the field of fish, wildlife, or habitat management, agriculture, forestry, or a natural resource science may substitute year-for-year for experience.<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Three (3) years of experience as a Natural Resource Worker or equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>License:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Public applicator pesticide license with an aquatic, turf, and ornamental endorsement within 3 months of hire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience with and\/or understanding of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Boats and amphibious tractors.<\/li>\n<li>Marine environment and biology\/botany.<\/li>\n<li>Field work.<\/li>\n<li>Herbicide application.<\/li>\n<li>Basic mechanical\/small engine repair.<\/li>\n<li>Handheld GPS and other position collecting devices.<\/li>\n<li>Developing positive, productive, respectful working relationships with coworkers and collaborators.<\/li>\n<li>Leading small work crews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a result of Gov.
