DOE<\/p>\n<p><strong>Things you&#8217;ll get to do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Use your GIS technical skills<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with gathering, compiling, mapping, and analyzing planning and infrastructure data<\/li>\n<li>Enter data and populate database tables and attributes<\/li>\n<li>Review and interpret data sources<\/li>\n<li>Enter, edit and update GIS spatial data, (including points, lines and polygons, and attribute data) into databases or layers<\/li>\n<li>Perform data extractions, transformation and loading processes<\/li>\n<li>Enter parameters and produce a variety of maps, shapefiles, feature classes, graphics, tables, reports, and other information products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Create and manage data, information, and documentation<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Create, edit, and maintain GIS data, reports, processes, procedures, workflows, and other technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Record and document details related to map updates, additions, and deletions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure data integrity<\/li>\n<li>Perform field work to collect or verify data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Help the team continuously improve<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify inefficiencies in processes and methods<\/li>\n<li>Formulate recommendations for improvements<\/li>\n<li>Research best practices and trends to ensure compliance with regulations and operational plans<\/li>\n<li>Assist in system testing and debugging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Assist with cross-departmental GIS projects<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in facilitating small group project meetings and client work sessions<\/li>\n<li>Support other team members in client meetings<\/li>\n<li>Research and respond to mapping, analysis, report, and information requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Abilities we\u2019re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and collaborate across diverse departments, stakeholders, and within the GIS Team<\/li>\n<li>Understand concepts, customer needs, and direction of system development<\/li>\n<li>Perform highly detailed work<\/li>\n<li>A natural curiosity and ability to independently research answers\/solve problems<\/li>\n<li>Provide and accept assistance and feedback<\/li>\n<li>Work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Adapt to change and reallocate task priorities<\/li>\n<li>Handle multiple, concurrent tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p><strong>The minimum qualifications for the GIS Technician position are:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An Associate\u2019s degree in geography, environmental studies, computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field; <strong>AND<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>One year of professional experience (outside of academia) regularly operating GIS using Esri\u2019s software suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>-OR-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Three to six years professional experience in the GIS field using Esri\u2019s software suite, <strong>AND<\/strong> a certificate in GIS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n<strong>The minimum qualifications for the GIS Technician Senior position are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An Associate\u2019s degree in geography, environmental studies, computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field;
