The individual selected will use GIS equipment and software <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">to compile, capture, and update resource databases from various source maps according to the guidelines <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of specific data sets. They will ensure accuracy and appropriateness of data and correct any errors. They will <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">also use basic operations and scripted processes to manipulate and analyze geospatial data to support <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">multi-resource analysis in planning and monitoring activities, and resource management decision making. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page201R_mcid49\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The individual will creates simple thematic map products and presentation materials. This project will <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">provide the participant with the opportunity to use geospatial software, skills, and knowledge in park <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">management applications. The participant will have the opportunity to sharpen their GIS skills. The <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">participant will perform spatial analyses, develop other geospatial products, and provide customer service <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">support to internal customers. The participant will provide geospatial information to resource managers to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">fill-in important data gaps.
