The primary deliverable will be a wilderness character narrative and <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">wilderness character baseline assessment, and wilderness character monitoring framework. Wilderness Character <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">is defined as a holistic concept based on the interaction of (1) biophysical environments primarily free from modern <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">human manipulation and impacts, (2) personal experiences in natural environments relatively free from then <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">encumbrances of modern society, and (3) symbolic meanings of humility, restraint, and interdependence that <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">inspire human connection with nature.
