Salary-<\/strong> $47,844.00 – $62,748.00 Annually<\/p>\n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Closely qualifying experience will substitute year for year for education.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n
    \n
  • A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in fisheries, wildlife management, natural resource science, or environmental science.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    AND<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
      \n
    • One (1) year of professional experience in fish management or fish research, wildlife management or wildlife research, or habitat management or habitat research.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

      OR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
        \n
      • One (1) year as a Fish & Wildlife Biologist 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

        Please Note:<\/strong>\u00a0A Master\u2019s Degree in the applicable science will substitute for one year of the required experience. A Ph.D. in the applicable science may be substituted for two years of the required experience.<\/p>\n

        Licenses:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

        • Valid Driver\u2019s License\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

          PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Knowledge of:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • The biology of native Washington fish especially salmon species.<\/li>\n
          • Ecological processes pertinent to the Northwest.<\/li>\n
          • The theory and practice of aquatic restoration implementation and mitigation.<\/li>\n
          • Regulatory processes including the Hydraulic Code, Growth Management Act (GMA), State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and Shoreline Management Act (SMA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Ability to:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            • Convey hard information to members of the public in a manner that maintains a positive working relationship.<\/li>\n
            • Keep the \u201cbig picture\u201d in mind at all times through pragmatic implementation of environmental regulations.<\/li>\n
