Primary duties include <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">collecting and reporting data for the long<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">term System<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Wide Monitoring Program\/SWMP (water quality, water <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">nutrients and meteorological data), and m<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">aintaining the infrastructure necessary for the program. The <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">technician will also be involved in other projects relevant to SINERR objectives. These duties may include data <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">synthesis, field data collection beyond SWMP (e.g., biological monitoring), and the<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">maintenance and operation <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of small vessels in coastal waters. The technician will also be expected to monitor lab inventory and procure <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">replacement equipment and supplies when needed. Most work will be on a limited access island with daily ferry <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">transport<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ation provided. The technician should expect at least 45% of work to take place in the field outside of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">an office. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
