{"id":45331,"date":"2022-02-23T13:49:08","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T21:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=45331"},"modified":"2022-02-23T13:49:08","modified_gmt":"2022-02-23T21:49:08","slug":"job-nationwide-permit-wetland-401-specialist-dept-of-ecology-lacey-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/job-nationwide-permit-wetland-401-specialist-dept-of-ecology-lacey-wa\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: Nationwide Permit Wetland 401 Specialist, Dept. of Ecology (Lacey, WA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><strong>For more information, please follow this link:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governmentjobs.com\/careers\/washington\/jobs\/3428074\/nationwide-permit-wetland-401-specialist-environmental-specialist-3\">https:\/\/www.governmentjobs.com\/careers\/washington\/jobs\/3428074\/nationwide-permit-wetland-401-specialist-environmental-specialist-3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Salary- $46,644.00 &#8211; $61,224.00 Annually<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review projects that have a potential to impact wetlands and work with others to ensure that the federal permit pathway is appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Enter project and permitting information into the Ecology Aquatic database.<\/li>\n<li>Watch deadlines and ensure that we are not missing them.<\/li>\n<li>Have frequent contact with clients, the public, staff members from both SEA and other Ecology programs, tribes, and local, state, and federal government agencies as projects move through the review process.<\/li>\n<li>Make decisions and recommendation to the Section Manager for higher-level signature based on the merits of the proposal and whether the project is consistent with the federal Clean Water Act (CWA) and the federal Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA).<\/li>\n<li>Provide project coordination and be a technical advisor to state and federal agencies in reviewing and developing final permit recommendation and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Perform fieldwork and site visits as needed to evaluated project applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nExperience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience.
