Qualifications<\/p>\n

Graduation from high school or equivalent<\/p>\n

AND\u00a0<\/strong>one (1) of the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Six (6) years’ experience in sub-professional engineering related work\n

    OR<\/strong><\/li>\n

  • Four (4) years’ experience in sub-professional engineering related work and completion of a recognized engineering technology vocational education program which includes computer-aided drafting training\n

    OR<\/strong><\/li>\n

  • Four (4) years’ experience in sub-professional engineering related work and two years’ relevant college level engineering course work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS<\/u><\/strong>
    \nValid Washington State Driver’s License with maintenance thereafter.<\/p>\n

    Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Certificate as required with maintenance thereafter.Knowledge & Skills<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Mathematics and its application to surveying, engineering, and other computations<\/li>\n
    • Practices, techniques and instruments used in engineering drafting and mapping<\/li>\n
    • Record-keeping techniques<\/li>\n
    • Proficient in operation of a personal computer, including MS Office Suite or similar software and computer aided drafting with AutoCAD and mapping software<\/li>\n
    • Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures<\/li>\n
    • Technical aspects of field of specialty<\/li>\n
    • Research methods<\/li>\n
    • Perform complex computations, make estimates and compile engineering data and statistics<\/li>\n
    • Operate computer-aided design\/drafting equipment and customize programs as needed<\/li>\n
    • Operate, calibrate and set-up a variety of engineering tools and equipment<\/li>\n
    • Produce and interpret drawings and specifications<\/li>\n
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing<\/li>\n
    • Read, interpret, apply and explain codes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures<\/li>\n
    • Maintain records and prepare reports<\/li>\n
    • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others<\/li>\n
    • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action<\/li>\n
    • Plan and organize work independently<\/li>\n
    • Lead, train and provide work direction to others<\/li>\n
