$39.62 Hourly<\/p>\n<p>Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>These positions protect two municipal watersheds, SPU property, SPU personnel, and Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area for conditions affecting water quality, safety, security, and all other emergency response needs.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0 Duties Include:<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Monitoring of all watershed activities;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Enforcement of City, State and Federal land use and water quality regulations;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Hydrological data and water sample collection;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Security patrols and remote boundary posting;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Security access and control;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Emergency response including Wildland fire suppression and prevention.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education\/Experience<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>One year of college education in forestry, law enforcement, natural resources, fire science, or a related field; OR one year full-time experience in a related field and\u00a0one year of supervisory or lead worker experience\u00a0<br \/><br \/><strong>Equivalency<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>Combination of education, training, and experience which provides and equivalent background to perform the required work will be considered on a case-by-case basis.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>Though not a requirement, the ideal candidates will have:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>College degree (Associate or Bachelors) in a related field, prior law enforcement training, and\/or wildfire experience and training (NWCG qualified).<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>License, Certification, and other Requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>Requires\u00a0<\/strong>a valid Washington State Driver License,\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Required\u00a0<\/strong>to certify and meet National Wildfire Coordinating Group standards for Firefighter 2 at the Arduous Level;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>Pre-Placement Physical<\/strong> will be required for the candidate selected for this position.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment\/Physical Demands<\/strong>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Ability to successfully work alone and in mountainous terrain in all kinds of weather conditions is essential.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Physical training requirements include the national Wildfire Coordinating Group requirements for Firefighter 2 at the Arduous Level (pack test required).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Required to wear a City issued uniform at all times (leather boots are not provided).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Required to work holidays, evenings, and\/or weekends, and may require emergency standby.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Required to lift over 50 pounds.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Work requires exposure to people who may become hostile or abusive, such as trespassers and poachers;
