and experience<\/p>\n<p><b>PRODUCTION COORDINATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Assist with production needs, such as graphic design, creating mailchimp emails, and photography<br \/>\n\u2022 Create GIS story-maps and simple videos highlighting particular research or outreach projects<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor and update website content<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate digitizing WSG products for improved accessibility<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide background research on a variety of topics<\/p>\n<p><b>CONTENT COORDINATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Write and develop WordPress web pages and events for the website<br \/>\n\u2022 Proofread and prepare text for publications<br \/>\n\u2022 Oversee social media activity<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain and update the WSG Style Guide and media contacts<br \/>\n\u2022 Summarize public relations activity as needed and other projects as assigned<\/p>\n<p><b>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in business management, communications, journalism, graphic design or other related field and 4-5 years minimum relevant work experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Editing, proofing and writing experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Interest and some experience in graphic design and video production<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Google Share Drives, video editing formats, and Adobe products<\/p>\n<p><b>Equivalent education\/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license\/certification\/registration.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/b><br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage priorities and make independent decisions<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong research and documentation skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with digital accessibility<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with Mac computers and software, WordPress (or a similar Content Management System), HTML, and CSS<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven ability to manage multiple projects, with excellent follow-through and attention to detail<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to assess and prioritize support requests and troubleshoot issues<br \/>\n\u2022 Basic familiarity with writing style guides<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience or interest in marine or environmental work a plus<br \/>\n\u2022 Commitment to the mission and goals of Washington Sea Grant<br \/>\n\u2022 Flexible attitude with interest in learning new
