Salary-<\/strong> $15.50-$17.50 hourly \u2013 DOE; with benefits<\/span><\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/strong>
\uf0b7<\/span> Establish, maintain, weed, and harvest fields of native plants needed for seed<\/span>
production<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Assist with and conduct seed production at field scales<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Seed and maintain native plant plugs in the greenhouse<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Clean and process wild-collected and field-raised native plant seed<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Document daily activities including precise tracking of seed lots and farm labor<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Assist with development of species propagation and seed production techniques<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Fulfill other duties as assigned<\/span><\/p>\n


REQUIREMENTS<\/span><\/strong>
\uf0b7<\/span> Labor crew experience. Farm labor experience highly desirable. Experience with<\/span>
seed production a plus<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Positive attitude through long days of outdoor physical work<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Comfortable operating power equipment and driving large vehicles including trucks<\/span>
and tractors<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Team-oriented with social skills that foster positive crew interactions with a diversity<\/span>
of individuals<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining speed and efficiency<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Attention to accurate record-keeping<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Working knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft Office Suite<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Possession and maintenance of a valid Washington driver\u2019s license and safe<\/span>
driving record<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Familiarity with or interest in native Washington plant species<\/span><\/p>\n


WORKING CONDITIONS<\/span><\/strong>
\uf0b7<\/span> Regularly works in seed production fields and nurseries. Hikes across, and<\/span>
conducts work within, native habitats and uneven ground<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Regularly works in inclement weather including heat, cold, wind and rain<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Regularly sits or stands at a desk or computer workstation<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Regularly required to operate a CNLM vehicle<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Uses or oversees the use of powered equipment such as weed trimmers and chain<\/span>
saws<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> Occasionally lifts, positions, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds.<\/span><\/p>\n
