Successful candidates will need to meet one or more of the following expectations:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Strong programming experience (e.g., Python, Fortran, or C++) and be familiar with supercomputing and\/or cloud platforms;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Rich experience and deep understanding of process-based models; applicants whose past research only involves running models at site-level will not be considered;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Knowledge of machine learning\u00a0<b><u>beyond<\/u><\/b>\u00a0simple tools such as Random Forest and ANN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Strong skill in data visualization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">Logistics:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">The positions are expected to start in Spring 2022. The positions are open till filled. A competitive salary will be provided based on experience.
