DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Programs Team Management and DEI (50%). <\/strong>The Senior Program Manager manages a small team of staff responsible for delivering projects and programs around the country and supports the Programs Director in team vision and restructure. This person is expected to coach and support staff in their work, encourage their career development, and drive outstanding performance and program impact in support of Forth\u2019s strategic plan.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Serve as an industry strategic support to the Programs Director in internal department projects.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide guidance and direction for direct reports, ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and efficiently managed<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lead a team of employees and contractors to support their initiatives and project milestones; create an inspiring team environment<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manage continuous improvement and performance evaluation processes; including goal setting, annual reviews, and professional development<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Actively promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion in Forth\u2019s workplace culture and practices, program operations, and interactions with all stakeholders<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in board and committee meetings, as appropriate<\/p>\n

Program Management (<\/strong>30%). <\/strong>The Senior Program Manager effectively manages programs that expand access to electric vehicle charging and advance goals outlined in Forth\u2019s strategic plan.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support the charging team in project development, budgeting, management, and evaluation<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop projects focused on electric vehicle charging initiatives and manage these and other transportation electrification projects as needed<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate closely with cities, transportation companies, electric utilities, nonprofits, and other partners to develop and deliver high-quality programming<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop strategies and advocate to share best practices and scale their adoption<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promote a high level of coordination between projects and programs and other Forth teams; address areas of potential conflict<\/p>\n

Business Development (20%). <\/strong>The Senior Program Manager works with other staff to develop new project ideas and cultivate new sources of funding from governments, foundations, transportation companies, and other partners.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain Forth\u2019s position as a thought leader in electrification with a specific focus on charging; speak on behalf of Forth at public events, as needed<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and best practices to identify emerging opportunities, threats, and needs<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop and refine new project ideas to carry out objectives within the charging team\u2019s focus area<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Draft proposals and support staff in preparing RFP responses in collaboration with Forth\u2019s business development team<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Communicate any updates or feedback from clients or partners to Forth\u2019s Leadership Team as needed<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Other duties as required<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A passion for Forth\u2019s mission<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion and understanding of key DEI concepts<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated strength in team management; passion for supporting and developing staff; strong ability to motivate team members and assess performance<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to cultivate professionally collaborative relationships from all levels from direct reports to members of the board<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Exceptional attention to detail<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work independently and maintain \u201cbig picture\u201d perspective<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent cross-cultural communications skills, both written and verbal<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s degree and 5-7 years of experience in transportation, energy, or related field<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Willingness and ability to travel, occasionally overnight; valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n

Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working for a nonprofit organization with a mission-driven staff and board<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working for at least one of these key stakeholders: electric vehicle charging providers, electric utilities, local governments, consulting firms, or major transportation companies<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Existing relationships in the electric vehicle charging industry<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting projects and meet deadlines while maintaining a healthy work-life balance<\/p>\n
