Starting salary is dependent on the level of experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This Position:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Manages conservation projects by coordinating all aspects necessary for the successful<br \/>\nacquisition and conveyance of property:<br \/>\no Relationship building and negotiations with landowners<br \/>\no Managing the due diligence process<br \/>\no Recommending funding strategies and assisting with grant writing to complete<br \/>\nacquisitions<br \/>\no Managing the escrow and project closing process<br \/>\n\u2022 Researches and selects potential project opportunities in coordination with partners, staff,<br \/>\nand the PCTA\u2019s Land Protection Advisory Council<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintains a GIS based inventory of private land along the PCT In coordination with PCTA\u2019s<br \/>\nGIS Specialist<br \/>\n\u2022 Fosters relationships with public and private landowners, local elected officials, tribes,<br \/>\nconservation organizations and community groups to conserve the PCT corridor<br \/>\n\u2022 Assists the Executive Director and CEO in managing a staff and volunteer-based Land<br \/>\nProtection Advisory Council<br \/>\nSee full job description on our website at: https:\/\/www.pcta.org\/about-us\/jobs\/<br \/>\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit for this Position?<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental studies, natural resources, real estate, or a related field<br \/>\nor equivalent professional training and\/or experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of three years of relevant experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build authentic relationships.<br \/>\n\u2022 Skillful communicator with the ability to listen<br \/>\n\u2022 Resourceful problem-solver<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to pay attention to details and manage multiple projects with deadlines<br \/>\n\u2022 Comfortable working independently as well as effectively within team environments and with<br \/>\npartners<br \/>\n\u2022 Embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion as a personal value<br \/>\n\u2022 Passion for land conservation and connecting people to the outdoors<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience managing land acquisition projects, conducting project due diligence, and<br \/>\nclosing escrow<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience managing contractors<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability and willingness to travel to remote properties along the PCT<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed<br \/>\n\u2022 The ability to work at a computer for several hours at a time<br \/>\n\u2022 The ability to walk on uneven ground and off-trail to visit properties along the PCT for<br \/>\nacquisition<\/p>\n<p><strong>Typical Working Conditions and Travel:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Conservation Project Manager can work at PCTA\u2019s headquarters, located in Sacramento,<br \/>\nCalifornia or remotely (California location preferred), under the direction of the Deputy Director.<br \/>\nThe position requires frequent travel, including overnight trips, by airplane and\/or car in<br \/>\nCalifornia, Oregon, and Washington to visit land acquisition project locations. A valid driver\u2019s<br \/>\nlicense is required. If working remotely, the Conservation Project Manager should be available<br \/>\nto occasionally travel to the Sacramento headquarters office to attend in-person meetings.<br \/>\nPCTA will cover travel expenses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe salary range is $65,000 &#8211; $75,000. Starting salary is dependent on the level of experience.<br \/>\nBenefits include paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, health, dental, vision, life, and long-term<br \/>\ndisability.
