Please do not contact Eli to inquire about the status of your application.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: inherit\">What will you do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Plan, lead, organize, and direct the work of the HWTR Communication and Outreach unit.<\/li>\n<li>Model inclusive and respectful behavior by continually learning about the communities the program serves and creating opportunities for staff to do the same.<\/li>\n<li>Create opportunities for staff to make recommendations and advocate for changes to unit and section services.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the team to develop communication products and strategies, including using methods for encouraging behavior change, such as Community-Based Social Marketing. Our initiatives help:\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Protect Washington\u2019s environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prevent toxic chemicals from getting into products.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Washington businesses comply with hazardous waste regulations and find safer alternatives to chemicals, which helps prevent contamination and keep workers safe.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Manage a large inventory of publications, web content, and other communication projects.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee federally-required reporting under Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA).<\/li>\n<li>Advise the program on communication strategies and priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br>Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eight (8) years of experience and\/ or education:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong>: In environmental sciences, planning, business, communications, or public administration or closely allied field<\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience<\/strong>: In environmental analysis, control, communications, or planning.
