Funding requests cannot exceed $2,500. \u00a0Student proposals are encouraged. \u00a0Proposals are reviewed by the WA-TWS Research Grants Committee and final funding decisions are made by the Board. \u00a0The deadline for submission of proposals is December 15 (e.g., December 15, 2020 for grant year 2021, etc.).\u00a0\u00a0Application Guidelines:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Proposals should be 2-3 pages in length (not including CVs) and include the following information: \u00a0Introduction, Methods, Timetable, Budget, Expected Products, and Curriculum Vitae of proposer(s).\u00a0Applications should be submitted to the Grants Committee at <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"mailto:grants@watw.org\">grants@watw.org<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>using the subject line &#8216;Research Grant Application&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Selection Criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">The importance of the question.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Adequacy of proposed methods to meet project objectives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Likely success of achieving objectives given question, design, funding, and time period.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Species management priority (e.g. T&amp;E and sensitive species, important game species, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Publication potential.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Researchers\u2019 experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Relative importance of the TWS monetary contribution to achieving research goals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">Grant recipients will be expected to present results of their project at a future Annual Meeting of the Chapter and\/or provide a write-up for the Chapter newsletter.
