Climate Change Research Scientist,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assembles and reviews existing scientific literature related to the effects of climate change on fish and wildlife and their habitat in Washington State.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Develops guidance and action steps that can be used by local governments to identify, protect, and improve resiliency of natural areas and species supported on those areas from the impacts of climate change, and identify and protect species connectivity corridors.<\/li>\n<li>Develops a science document(s) that describes how climate resilience practices can benefit ecosystem function generally and salmon recovery efforts specifically.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews, synthesizes, and summarizes findings from literature, modeling data, and other sources of information as necessary to inform the climate guidance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prepares for, attends, and actively participates in inter-agency meetings in order to ensure that science guidance maximizes considerations of the state\u2019s fish and wildlife and their habitats.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and delivers timely report outs on inter-agency meeting results.<\/li>\n<li>Provides input to and other assistance with planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating activities, and management recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards: \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Work is performed in a typical office setting, home-based for the foreseeable future.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule: \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Typically, work schedule is Monday &#8211; Friday, 8:00 am \u2013 5:00 pm \u2013flexible schedule options Ecology, Environmental Science or equivalent.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>AND<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Four (4) years of experience in natural resources management within a local government, environmental or conservation organization, consulting firm, or state or federal natural resources agency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>AND<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Four (4) years of professional experience designing statistical or mathematical research in
