The person in this position contributes writing, editing, publishing, project coordination and other communication expertise to educational, informational and promotional content and strategies in a variety of media, languages (primarily English and Spanish) and delivery platforms with focus on a \u201cdigital first\u201d approach. This position contributes to efforts to create content that is linguistically and culturally relevant to historically marginalized audiences.<\/p>\n<p>The Communications Specialist collaborates with publishing, marketing, public affairs, web and multimedia colleagues within and beyond the unit. Work is done in collaboration with OSU Extension\u2019s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion unit, OSU Extension employees and university communications colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The Extension Communications unit supports the strategic communication needs of the Division of Extension and Engagement and the statewide OSU Extension Service. The team collaborates with division leadership and colleagues to create educational, engaging and brand-aligned communications. This includes educational publishing, news and media relations, issues and impact communications, marketing and branding, visual design and multimedia, and web and content strategy efforts. The team also offers advice, consultation and training for OSU Extension employees in these areas.
