Produced by Scott Downes, Elizabeth Torrey, Chase Gunnell and Mark Teske.<\/strong> Despite impacts from severe wildfires and habitat fragmentation, recovery programs are underway for species such as\u00a0sage-grouse<\/a>,\u00a0pygmy rabbits<\/a>,\u00a0sharp-tailed grouse<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0pronghorn antelope<\/a>, while efforts including the Arid Lands Initiative and Conservation Reserve Program foster constructive partnership for the future of Washington\u2019s shrub-steppe.<\/span><\/p>\n For wildlife lovers, hunters and anglers, Indigenous peoples, farmers and ranchers, outdoor recreationists and so many others, this land is no desert devoid of life,\u00a0This Land is Part of Us<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n After the film, speakers and the production team will join the public for a panel discussion on conserving shrub-steppe habitats and answer questions from listeners.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
