These drainage systems are separated from sanitary sewer systems and are owned or operated by cities, counties, and other public entities. As a Municipal Permit Implementation Planner, you serve as an independent project manager responsible for guiding the development and implementation of municipal stormwater programs at the city and county level in the Southwest Region\u2013 including Clark, Lewis, Cowlitz, and Thurston Counties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll do:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You will guide the development and implementation of municipal stormwater programs in the Southwest Region. To do this, you will:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Provide consultation and planning assistance to local government agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Assist municipalities in developing, planning, and coordinating stormwater programs beneficial to water quality.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities for the reissuance of the Municipal Stormwater Permit to improve efforts to meet water quality improvement plans and other state and federal water quality requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the planner for the Lower Columbia and South Puget Sound regions\u2019 Low Impact Development code update initiative for municipal stormwater permittees.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to inquiries, complaints, and other requests for compliance\/enforcement information from permittees and the public.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate enforcement actions as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational, volunteer and lived-experience.
